Ajanvel


Anjanvel located in Guhagar town of Maharashtra, is a quite island on the southermost banks of Vashisti River based at the confluence of Arabian Sea. Anjanvel is an all weather natural Seaport. Commercial activities like ship building & old ship breakings takes place. Anjanvel is  basically a fishing village with traditional fishing activities seen here. Anjanvel is blessed with Anjanvel Fort which is also known as Gopalgad Fort, the fort built during Bijapur regimes was fortified by Shivaji Maharaj in 1660.

A must see location during your trip to Guhagar or Konkan.

By Train :Nearest Railway Station is Chiplun from where one can reach Anjanvel by road.

By Road :
State Transport Buses & Private means of transport are available to reach Guhagar. Anjanvel is 40 kms away from Guhagar.
